Quilting 2004/2005

Quilting Report (from March newsletter)

By Sabrina Szpetkowski

On February 4, our quilting class went to Eddie’s Quilting Bee. It is in Mountain View. There were lots of beautiful fabrics there. One quilt hanging on the wall really caught my eye. It had pieces of cloth formed into a cat and lots of little cats around it. Our leader, Mrs. Morgan taught us about thread and what fabrics are easy to use and not easy to use. I think the class is really fun. In class we made rice bags, a pillow and we are starting to make a book bag. It’s going to have cats all over it. I learned how to use a sewing machine and how to measure fabric. I think this class is really inspiring. I love it!

Quilting Project (from December newsletter)

By Victoria Yragui

I am in the Quilting Class.  Last month in our class we made Rice Bags in pink fabrics for Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I gave mine to my Aunt Kim.  We have learned how to use sewing supplies and how to cut fabrics. We have started to make a pillow case and are making a Crazy Quilting book bag.

I am having a lot of fun in the class.
