Presentation Day 2005
Presentation Day (from March newsletter)
By Nick Tashjian
Last month I went to Presentation Day and gave my speech. I got a Blue but at least I didn’t pass out! It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of other interesting speeches and talks. There was one about how cows and sheep digest. Next year I want to do an interpretive reading.

Alameda County Presentation Day (from February newsletter) |
Saturday, February 12, 2005 - 9:00am to 1:00pm
Location: Canyon Middle School, 19600 Cull Canyon Rd, Castro Valley
Alameda County Presentation Day will be held this year on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Canyon Middle School in Castro Valley. Presentation Day is an opportunity to give a presentation and have fun with other 4H'ers. If you receive a Gold award at this county Presentation Day, you can go on to the North Central Section Presentation Day held in Davis this year. This is great for your 4-H Personal Development Report since demonstrations are required in order to obtain any of the stars. You get credit for each time you give a presentation. Areas you can enter into:
· Demonstrations and Illustrated Talks
· Educational Display
· Prepared Speech
· Impromptu Speech
· Interpretive Reading
· Share the Fun
· Cultural Arts
· Audio-Visual Presentations
· Problem Solving Presentations
Applications
Applications need to be in to Carol Crossett by February 3rd. The application is on the county website, www.alamedacounty4h.org.
Judges Needed
We also need judges for this event. We need adult judges who can critique several presentations each. This is not a hard thing to do and there is an orientation to make you feel more comfortable doing this. We will even buy you some snacks during the event!
If you are interested, contact Carol Crossett @ 510-881-1124 or Tom Fraser @ 925-371-0732
